In Beauharnois, visit the parc archéologique de la Pointe-du-Buisson. This headland was inhabited by Amerindians more than 5,000 years ago, and archaeological digs allowed experts to reconstitute their life-style. On the site, you will find paths, animation and the reconstitution of an Amerindian hut.
You should also visit the Centrale hydroélectrique de Beauharnois, one of the most important power plants in the world. A permanent exhibition and an interpretation centre will allow you to learn more about hydroelectricity. It is also worth to visit the Hydromellerie Miel Nature where you will find 44 honey by-products, such as meads and honey liquors. At the bee interpretation centre, you will find a glassed beehive, which will allow you to observe these fascinating flying bugs.
