Contrecoeur

Contrecœur

The city of Contrecoeur has several green spaces, islands protected as bird sanctuaries, as well as tourist attractions like the Maison Lenoblet-du-Plessis, which was the Patriotes’ gathering place in 1834. Different thematic exhibitions are also presented on the site.

Hikers can enjoy a walk along the trail of the river promenade on piles at the parc du belvedere. You can also visit the Moulin banal Chaput, built in 1942, which worked for nearly one and a half centuries. It is now classified “archaeological good”. Contrecoeur is without a doubt the place par excellence for the archaeologist in you.
