For its 12th edition, the Festival International de Percussions de Longueuil presented to you by Loto Québec takes you, along with aboriginal people to a rich and mysterious land: Australia, from July 9th to 14th, on Saint Charles street, in the heart of the old Longueuil. This event will gather over 500 artists and 225 000 visitors!
The Hote Zone, reinvented last year, became a space dedicated to the featured country. This year, the “Uluru”, a sacred mountain for aboriginals, will be dedicated to Australia and aboriginal people. On stage, in this unique space, you’ll see professional shows given by international artists and activities with speakers coming straight from Australia! Interactive shows, conferences, exhibitions and documentaries about the history and culture of aboriginal people, master classes with percussions and didgeridoos: come participate in all these activities inside the Uluru mountain: the Hote Zone.
Also at the Hote Zone, don’t miss our great Australian Ball, a very important moment of the Festival! Come see spectacular and colorful performances while you taste some Australian cuisine during our fundraising dinner! Exhibition, cocktails, gourmet meal, shows ( a medley made by all our Australian top artists) is your program for the night, not mentioning that the dance floor is also available for you anytime!
The Festival’s free site on rue St-Charles, will present 3 stages and numerous activities that you can be part of! Concerts, interactive shows, dance and music master classes, didgeridoo and percussion classes, exhibitions, educational workshops, days dedicated to families, a parade and for the first time at the Festival: a Circus!
An occasion you don’t want to miss! Come dance and discover Australia at the one and only Percussion Festival in Québec!
