Chambly

Chambly

Chambly is renowned for its fort, built in 1665, as well as for its historic lock. At the Fort-Chambly National Historic Site of Canada, from June to September, costumed guides welcome you at the beautiful fortress to make you discover the military architecture and the archaeological discoveries of the site. Demonstrations of musket shooting are even organized each week during summertime.

At the Canal Chambly National Historic Site of Canada, you can admire the boats and the nine stair locks, which are unique in Quebec. A cycle path runs along the ancient towpath and allows you to tour the site. At the Théâtre Fourquet Fourchette, you are invited to discover the odyssey of Jacques Cartier during a dinner-show in a New-France atmosphere.
