Biophare

Open year round (Exceptionally for 2009, Biophare will open its doors to the public as soon as the end of June 2009.)

Dedicated to a Rich Ecosystem

At Biophare, be prepared for a surprising trip in the heart of nature and the history of lake Saint-Pierre! Located in Sorel-Tracy in the park Regard-sur-le-Fleuve, Biophare is an interpretation centre dedicated to the Lac-Saint-Pierre Biosphere Reserve. Recognized by UNESCO as a biosphere reserve, the lake Saint-Pierre represents an internationally-recognized interest. Indeed, this territory is as much rich with its historic heritage as with its exceptional natural areas that it encompasses.

As soon as June 2009, Biophare will present its all new permanent exhibition “L’observatoire du lac Saint-Pierre”. Do not miss this new creation that will make you enter the fantastic world of the Lac-Saint-Pierre Biosphere Reserve.

In addition to the exhibitions, enjoy Randonnée nature, a cruise service offering an unforgettable trip! Indeed, Randonnée nature will guide you in the land of the Survenant and at the discovery of the Sorel islands and its breathtaking landscapes. A unique nature and culture experience!
