The Tsiionhiakwatha/Droulers Archaeological Site Interpretation Center is one of the most important archaeological deposits of eastern America. It is located in St-Anicet, extreme south-western Quebec. The Interpretation Center offers an interactive guided tour of about 1 hour and a half of the Iroquoian village, and this, for groups of all ages. The public and groups are therefore acquainted with regional archaeology, who were the Iroquoians, what were they doing in St-Anicet and how were they living. Visitors are brought to 4 longhouses where are presented different aspects of the First Nations’ way of life before the arrival of Europeans in America.
The Interpretation Center also offers thematic activities on weekends with native artisans. The public is invited to take part with the artisans in different arts and crafts, food transformation or tasting workshops. In short, a visit to the Tsiionhiakwatha/Droulers Archaeological Site Interpretation Center is a travel through time, an historic discovery and an adventure in itself. Three times winner of Grand prix du tourisme in 4 years, the Droulers site is an attraction not to be missed in Montérégie.
