This municipality has been inhabited since the early 18^th century. It was then known under the name of Saint-Marc-de-Cournoyer, in tribute to Jacques Hertel de Cournoyer, to which this territory was given in 1695. As far as one can remember, this municipality has always been devoted to agriculture. Nowadays, visitors can still admire the beautiful cultivated lands as well as the charming little farms. The ancestral houses located along the streets will take you a few decades back in time. Just like many artists did before, let yourself be tempted by the charm of this town.
