Otterburn Park, which is located only 30 kilometres from Montéal, is a genuine green and peaceful oasis located along the Richelieu River. People started to settle in this area as early as the 18th century. The city received its official name in 1953. Otterburn Park owes its name to the city of Otterburn in Northern England, near the Scotland border. The name “Park” was added in the 19th century because a large park was built in the area. Later, people started to settle and build their homes in this place that was becoming more and more popular.
