It’s more than 2 000 divers whom each year brave the spring swirls of the Richelieu River for an unforgettable experience. What are they after? The incredible rush provided by the 1,7 km of body rafting and of course the main challenge, the swirl called « La Gueule du loup ».
No previous experience is necessary. You have to be older than 14 years old, be in good shape (certain conditions apply) and to be an experienced swimmer. However, every person under 17 years old must be accompanied by a parent present on site. Every diver has to take the initiation clinic to set acquainted with basics techniques.
You need a wetsuit of 7 mm minimum, some fins, a mask and a snorkel. You can find these equipment in different Quebec diving store or at the rental boutique that will be present on the site. Bassin en Fête has the right to limit the number of divers.
